oral / verbal

Spoken versus in words.

Oral means spoken: an oral agreement. Verbal means in words, spoken or written: a verbal contract is in words, not a handshake alone. If you mean spoken, use oral or spoken.

Examples

Use They reached an oral deal.

Use Put the deal in spoken terms first.

Avoid They reached a verbal deal. (If you mean only that it was spoken.)
