intensive pronouns / reflexive pronouns
I myself versus I hurt myself.
A reflexive pronoun is the object when the subject and the object are the same: She hurt herself. They blamed themselves. An intensive pronoun repeats the noun or pronoun for emphasis: She herself locked the door. I myself saw it. The form is the same. The job is not. Do not use myself as a polite me. See also I / me / myself.
