homograph / homophone / homonym

Same spelling, same sound, and the cover term.

Homographs are spelled alike and may not sound alike: lead the metal and lead the verb. Homophones sound alike and may not be spelled alike: pair and pear. Homonym is the cover term, and some writers use it only when both spelling and sound match: bank and bank. If the distinction matters, use the specific word.
