gerund / infinitive after verbs

Enjoy walking versus want to walk.

Some verbs take a gerund: enjoy walking, avoid waiting, finish filing. Some take an infinitive: want to walk, decide to wait, hope to file. Some take either, with a change in sense: stop talking / stop to talk. Learn the verb. Do not mix the two after a verb that takes only one.
