autonomy / autarky / autarchy

Self-rule, economic self-sufficiency, and absolute rule.

Autonomy is the right or power to govern oneself: campus autonomy, bodily autonomy. Autarky is economic self-sufficiency: a country that needs no imports. Autarchy is absolute rule by one person. Do not use autarky for political independence, or autonomy for a closed economy.
