article use with institutions
When the stands before school, hospital, university, church, and like names.
Use the with a full official name that includes of or a modifier: the University of Chicago, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Drop the before a short name used as a proper institution: She goes to Stanford. He is in Congress. For ordinary common nouns, keep the article: She went to the hospital. He is at the university. Do not use in hospital or at university.
